Construction - set in. This is a set neck not a bolt on.

Body - mahogany + quilted maple top. Mahogany is a wood with large pores and an open grain. It is considered that its constant density produces good lows and low midtones with some compression of the midtones without them popping out. Mahogany is considered to have a good balance of base tone and overtones. High notes are thought to be richer and thicker than Alder or Ash.

Neck - mahogany. The even density of mahogany provides a very stable neck. The open pores make the neck more responsive than the more common maple necks absorbing more string vibration than Maple. This compresses the attack and the highs a little. Having a set neck improves tone quality even further.

Fingerboard - rosewood. Rosewood is the most commonly used wood for fretboards. As the fretboard see frequent touching the naturally oily Rosewood handles this well. It is generally considered to provide a rich sound and the oily natures tends to absorb any stray overtones.
