It is unsual to see features such as the Mahogany/Sapelli body in a guitar of this price. This is an all-round gem.

With a Mahogany and Sapeli body and a set neck this guitar provides great sound and looks impressive.

Sapeli comes from the mahogany family so the characteristics are similar to mahogany when used in guitars. Mahogany is a wood with large pores and an open grain. It is considered that its constant density produces good lows and low midtones with some compression of the midtones without them popping out. Mahogany is considered to have a good balance of base tone and overtones. High notes are thought to be richer and thicker than Alder or Ash.

The even density of mahogany provides a very stable neck. The open pores make the neck more responsive than the more common maple necks absorbing more string vibration than Maple. This compresses the attack and the highs a little.
