Samick F-style mandolin
Bought secondhand so not sure how old it is, but probably between 20-30 years. Has aged beautifully, great condition and with a nice vintage looking patina and features that are not found on instruments in this price range anymore, such as elaborate inlays on the fretboard and head instead of just dots, and a nice wooden bridge instead of plastic.

It sounds beautiful unplugged and the previous owner installed a piezo pick-up so it can be plugged and sounds great amplified too.

In very good condition, with a distinct vintage looking aspect, great to play and holds its tune for days (weeks in my case but your ears might be more finely tuned than mine!)

A few things to note:
- the pick-gard has been removed, don't know why but I think it looks great without it
- the tailpiece has been replaced, it is now a nice looking George Wasburn
- a few cracks and scratches as could be expected on an instrument of that age, only cosmetic and pretty minor.

Comes with a good quality hard case (bought for $100) and a strap.

The instrument can be viewed in Hataitai, Wellington (contact me for phone no.).
Selling because of downsizing my instrument collection!

I have also the following books which are not part of this auction but can be bought separately ($10 each)

Mandolin Chord Book
Intermediate Mandolin - The Complete Mandolin Method (Greg Horne)
Irish Mandolin Playing - A Complete Guide (Philip John Berthoud)
Mandoline Blues - From Memphis to Maxwell Street (Rich Delgrosso)
Gipsy Swing and Hot Club rythm for Mandolin (Dix Bruce)
