*** check out my feedback on these so far ***
Cajon individually made by myself from 9mm thick mahogany veneer plywood on all sides (apart from front).
Cajones, often called "drum in a box" are making a worldwide resurgence, becoming more popular then ever.
They're ideal for acoustic sets, quick set-up gigs, limited spaces, youth groups / camps or just an additional percussion instrument for a band etc.
I reckon this is at a 'give away' price. I want to keep those moving.
Solid, and good looking, these are constructed for their sound quality primarily.
I have researched and experimented with various front (tapa) materials and thicknesses, sound hole sizes and snare positioning to settle on this design which I believe is very good.
The bass is deep, loud and punchy.
The snare is snappy and well balanced, reducing in intensity from top to middle of the tapa.

I’m a percussionist. I’m not a professional wood craftsman so the finishing is not perfect where I’ve sanded the surface a bit too far pass the mahogany veneer in a couple of corners, but they are solid, precisely made, re-enforced on the inside and look very good.
Dimensions: 320 x 320 x 510mm height incl. legs
Sides: 9mm mahogany plywood
Front (tapa): 2.7mm “renoir beech” plywood panel
Fitted with two fixed sections of (20) wires snare
Fitted with rubber legs
Protected by 3 coats of matte polyurethane
