This is an alternative workbook for the Royal Schools theory exams and I've found it gives an easier more progressive lead into harmony from grade 5 theory than some other theory books. It matches the syllabus exactly so you can use this series with confidence.

Contents include melodic decorations, figured bass, writing for keyboard, harmonising melodies, melody writing, writing for orchestral instruments, melodic composition in a more melodic style etc

The book has useful explanations and examples and gives lots of exercises.
