Keyboard Secrets by Dorothy Gaynor Blake is a volume of daily recreations to solve first keyboard problems at the piano.

A pupil’s early musical education embraces three elements – the training of ear, eye and hand. This volume has two specific purposes:

• To provide simple finger-drills to give keyboard freedom, accuracy, rapidity, strength and control.

• To present in a condensed way all the problems of phrasing, touch and hand control likely to be met within first and second grade piano music.

The contents introduce briefly various points one at a time, using 30 short pieces. There is also an appendix of ten additional finger-drills at the end of the book.
