The =JANSEN= 8/550 MIXER AMPLIFIER is a fully integrated eight channel stereophonic public address sound system amplifier. Having two inbuilt POWER AMPLIFIERS, it can be configured as a full STEREOPHONIC system or at the touch of a push switch as a MONAURAL system using one power amplifier to drive the FRONT OF HOUSE speakers, and the other to drive either a monitor speaker or a HEARING AID LOOP. Assigning the power amplifiers to SUBMIX 1 and SUBMIX 2, each channel can be positioned in the stereo image: left, right or centre, by using the PAN control. A separate monitor amplifier will be then required for foldback monitoring. If it is decided to use the system as a MONAURAL setup using the power amplifiers for MAIN and MONITOR, the vocals can be directed to SUB 1 and the instruments to SUB 2. The SUB 1 and SUB 2 MASTER FADERS are then used to trim the relative level of vocals and instruments and the MAIN FADER to set the total mix level. Incorporating a quality REVERBERATION system and two eight band GRAPHIC EQUALISERS, the unit is on it's own capable of reproducing and enhancing the sound from microphones or any other sound source to a very high standard. Facilities include indicators on each channel for signal level as well as two LED bargraph displays showing the output of each of the two MOS-FET power amplifiers. Modules such as DIGITAL DELAY can be connected using the EFFECTS SEND and RETURN loop.

FOUR MOS-FET OUTPUT DEVICES PER CHANNEL COOLED BY A TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED FAN AND DRIVEN BY A BALANCED INPUT CIRCUIT WITH DC OFFSET ADJUSTMENT AN EXTERNAL 5 AMP FUSE PROTECTS AGAINST LOW LOAD IMPEDANCES. UNCONDITIONALLY STABLE INTO ALL LOADS ABOVE 4 OHMS AND WITH HIGH OUTPUT CURRENT CAPACITY, THIS MODULE HAS PROVEN TO BE EXTREMELY RUGGED AND RELIABLE. EACH CHANNEL HAS AN INTERNAL 10 AMP BACKUP SPEAKER FUSE.
