TASCAM MSR 24S ANALOG 1" MULTITRACK RECORDER - Complete with 24 way loom for hooking up to a mixing desk. This is the best 1" 24 track with Dolby S. It is in very good condition and was checked out by Buzz Audio, that's why I bought it in the first place about two years ago. It is up for sale to raise money to visit my mom in California. The TASCAM has all the analog warmth that even fancy enhancers in digital recording set ups cannot imitate. A/B'd against Protools and Logic through a Mackie 24-8 desk and Dynaudio M1 monitors the TASCAM just sounds inherently bigger and more coherent and involved in the music. It also tightens up mixes with natural tape compression. A bit like comparing a real Fender Twin against a modelled one I suppose. ( ##) free reels of one time use Ampex/Quantegy 499 tape, hundreds in savings to start with. This machine comes with the original owners manual and remote and the two alignment tapes required to test, align and adjust the machine and noise reduction (The alignment tapes are very rare and I have had engineers ask if I was interested in selling or renting them out) This machine can also be used to warm up sterile sounding, digital recordings.
