Brooklyn-based collective of musicians founded in 1998 by bandleader Martin Perna, sometimes known as the "Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra". Antibalas is Spanish for 'bulletproof', or literally, 'anti-bullets'. They have toured and played live extensively in the past three years to push their new updated style of traditional Afrobeat.
