The subversive pop of NZ trio Opposite Sex is, they say, “an absurdist-logico mix of Euro pop, Beat poetry, and subterranean lo-fi adventuring." Although their music ranges from oddly poppy carnival waltzes through to manic and melodic post-punk and no wave, this is no retro exercise. The album is their own unique genre-defying trip through the experimental pop underground of their imaginations.

Originally intended as a demo recording of the band’s live set, the album has caught the imagination of listeners, reviewers and radio DJs around the world with it’s raw and fresh other-wordly post-punk pop weirdness.

The original NZ LP pressing sold out within months, mostly to buyers in the UK and Europe. This UK pressing is now available in NZ in limited numbers.
