What is Ark Linux?
Ark is a complete, fully featured, user friendly, Linux operating system that is a perfect replacement for your current operating system.

Do I need to remove my old operating system?
No, during the installation, Ark will give you the choice of a dual boot. This lets you choose which operating system you start when you turn your computer on.

What can it run on?
Ark runs extremely well on a
1.0GHz AMD or Intel CPU
256MB RAM
3GB HDD Space
32MB Video Card

What Software do I get?
Web browsers (Firefox /Opera)
Office Suite (OpenOffice / Koffice)

What about games?
Currently the range of commercial games for Linux is low, but games from ID, and Epic (Doom, Quake, Hexen, Unreal Tournament) all have native Linux versions. Linux does, however, have a wide selection of open source games like Tremulous, Bos Wars, Padman and hundreds more

Does Ark have a Fancy Desktop Like OSX and Vista?
Yes, most Linux distributions, Ark included, now use a program known as Compiz-Fusion. It allows you to run 3D desktop effects Vista and OSX can only dream of.
