For sale - my Sinclair C5

I started, owned and ran http://www.C5alive.co.uk (selling parts / repairing / researching / remanufacturing parts/ refurbs etc) for several years until i came over here (NZ) and basically I have had my own (last) C5 in storage for the past 2 years. Got it running again about 6 months ago.

Its something which is without doubt historically pertinant as one of the first (if slightly misguided) attempt at a commercial venture for electric transport.

I have huge amounts of documentation tucked away. Circuit diagrams and a prototype pic chip replacement for the somewhat dodgy ferranti ULA that was used to control many aspects of the C5.

The one i am selling comes with original sinclair tyres (not fitted) new low rolling resistance schwalbe tyres/tubes, heaps of spare electronics (probably 3 or 4 instrument pods and control boxes and repair kits) . Possible a spare motor. Also in parts of it are a 80amp 24v conversion PWM motor controller that i used to sell (making it capable of 50kmh !!! which 100mm of the ground feels crazy fast. ) However as std it does about 20-25kph.

There is so much information i am willing to provide to the lucky purchaser this is a real once in a lifetime purchase not least all the documentation that I am giving away (original manuals etc)

Remember its not just some ropey version that doesnt work (there are plenty of them about ). This is fully functioning and complete. The only ammendment to originality which is done to all C5's to enable correct reliable functionality is I have fitted QR battery connections to it .

The ONLY thing i dont have to hand is a 12v Deep cycle battery as I simply havent purchased one since arriving in NZ (I couldnt bring any in the container). So if you wish to actually try this up our road you brave souls - you will need to bring a charged one

Will fit into nearly all station wagons with the seats down.
