Alpine Strawberry (Red) aromatic and flavoursome!!

The alpine or woodland strawberry, is one of the most aromatic and flavoursome strawberries.
Its much smaller than standard strawberries, but has a deliciously intense flavour.
It crops from midsummer through to autumn and the fruit on this one is red. The plants are annuals but seed freely.

Due to their woodland origins, it does well in dappled shade.
They are particularly effective when used to edge a vegetable garden or potager and are a favourite plant for containers.

If sown early indoors, they will often fruit the first year.
