Axolotls grow fairly big (around 25-35cm) ideally they should have a tank 4 or more times longer than they are. They need fine stones or sand or really big stones in their tank, they can be kept on bare glass but it's not ideal. They need a good filtration system or they need regular large (30-40% per week) water changes

They will live happily in water that is 14-19 degrees (no warmer than 20 deg) In warmer water they are more active. They can be kept with goldfish if they are too big for the goldfish to eat and the goldfish are big enough not to be eaten
