Bio-Chem Stars premium biological filter media provides a substrate for the optimum growth of beneficial bacteria. Unlike other power filters, Rena Smart Filters rely on pressurized water to actively direct aquarium water through the filter cartridges for superior filtration. Features a built in dosing port for liquid medications, water conditioners, or supplements. For custom filtration, use optional PhosZorb cartridge to remove phosphates, or nitrate-reducing NitraZorb cartidge.
