Caithness Glass is known throughout the world for its beautiful glassware and is and is regarded as one of the most respected producers of museum-quality paperweights.

After being placed "under administration" (the UK equivalent of statutory management) Caithness Glass is now owned by Dartington Crystal. Hopefully this will ensure the company will continue to produce the beautiful glass for which it is famous. Whatever the future, all Caithness glass, especially closed and vintage pieces, will increase in value and become even more collectable.

"HYDROFOIL" is from my own personal collection and is as good as an example of this lovely design as you are likely to see. A cobalt blue base is dusted with sparkling silver. A large ovoid silvery bubble floats above the base. A smaller bubble floats at the top with ribbons of cobalt, vibrant orange and Lemon yellow spinng out from it's base.

The paperweight is etched on the base: "Caithness Scotland, Hydrofoil, 139 or 750" and comes with it's box.

Height 7cm, width 7.5cm, weight 602g. This paperweight is in excellent condition with no scratches or bruises.

Not only is this a beautiful paperweight but it is also extremely collectable.
