A neat, very retro genuine Crown Jug from or of The FANCY FARE SALAD WARE range, that has the Fruit Patterned on tyhe sides of the Jug, which is yellow, and has the pattern number 409 - 2 stamped into it, as per photos. (except that the flash can change colours & shades and brighten things up & sometimes make them look better etc etc) Is backstamped on the back. To me it is in reasonably good condition for its age, but does have a chip on the spout rim. But still a good piece if you collect Fancy Fare & do not have this one. I could see no other chips or cracks and it has a good ring when tapped. There is a minor chip on the base, but to me it looks like it has glaze over it, so likely a production thing when it was made. Just a long from that there looks like there is a minor hairline, but does not seem to go anywhere. (so am not really counting those defects) It measures approx 150mm odd high - am guessing !!! it would be about a pint ?? or about 750mls. I think its got good tidy glaze too, and not all cracked and marked and dirty. Hopefully there are enough pictures there to show you things & help you decide if it suits your needs & purposes, whatever that may be, before you bid or buy.
