Obernai Faienceries Sarreguimines Foie Gras Pot & Lid (circa early 1900s) earthenware pot with lid - once used for foie gras. The design is in the Obernai pattern, which is very collectible and depicts the paintings of the 17th century French artist Henri Loux ~ scenes of early landscapes, animals, people, castles and more. Foie gras earthenware pots typically had lions heads on each side, as this one. The lid is decorated with painted flowers/roses and greenery.

In good condition - does have a chip on the inside rim of the lid and some brown staining on the lid....both pieces have some crazing. Overall in great condition considering its age

All my fragile items are boxed & bubble wrapped. I take as much care as possible with my packing to minimise breakages (and have a pretty good track record) but unfortunately I cannot be held responsible for NZ Posts handling of the goods.
