Murray was not even a twinkle when this contemporary pottery was made by the skilled workmen from Timaru Potteries Limited.

These have a NZ story and a history that cannot be replaced...you have to go to a museum now to see these! They go back to somewhere in the 1935-1939 era. Go wander through time and indulge yourself.

Will appeal to collectors who can identify with quality items from the past (I have one more demijohn stored away as well, Murray doesn't know shhh...just can't bring myself to part with it just yet).

The small crock is stamped "Stour Ware Timaru". The crocks are made using the creamy Kakahu clay and have a clear glaze with a decorative coggle line on the smaller crock. The demijohn is glazed with the tan brown Bristol glaze. Some wear and tear on the demijohn.

One of these things is not like the others...yep it is going too, I admit, not as beautiful as the TP, but still striking in its own way. They have been together for so long I hate to part them.
