Handcraft pottery 'carrot' dish

This dish was produced by the Handcraft Pottery as embossed on the base. It also has a partial Japan sticker.

In the shape of a carrot - you don't have to live in Ohakune to appreciate this colourful dish. Gloss orange and green glazes on the top, matt black underneath.

With its cane handle, it makes a striking statement. Actual dish is 245mm long x 100mm at its widest . The total length to the top of the cane handle is 347mm.

I think it dates to the late 60s.

Fantastic display piece - and a practical dish for crudites.

Excellent condition - has white mark where the black and orange glazes meet at the top, and one place on the side.
