This evening I have for auction a Paragon Trio from the 1952-1960 period called the 'Cliffs of Dover'.
This is just before the period in the 1960's when the company changed hands several times, owned for a while by T.C. Wild, then forming part of Allied English Potteries, then becoming part of Royal Doulton.
Paragon was noted for producing high quality teaware and tableware, and was granted royal warrants by three members of the British Royal Family. This can be seen in their backstamp.
This trio is decorated with a view of the white cliffs of Dover with trees and flowers in the foreground.
The plate is 15cms in diameter, the saucer is 13cms in diameter. The cup stands 7cms high and is 7.5 cms in diameter at the rim.
All three pieces are in good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing.
There is some ware to the gold on the rim of the cup.
