A very early and hard to find Carter Stabler Adams ltd Poole Pottery Jug.

It has a wonderful early backstamp dating it between 1921-1934...more likely a 1920s piece..

Note how finely potted it is .. Interestingly the clay and decoration is most like the extremely early pieces made during the Early part of World War 1 (1914) and are thought to be based apon early English Archeological finds in Local Museums at the time.

Unglazed exterior with hand painted decoration and clear glazed inside the pot.

It's condition is remarkable considering its age and how finely worked it is.. Just has teeny tiny flakes off the rims painted decoration..and the tiniest of nips off the lower lip of the spout..Please examine my close ups..

Stands 97 mm tall and 105mm wide including handle..
