Walk for Iraq is a global movement whose mission is to organise sponsored walks that generate funds for life-saving work throughout Iraq. It also raises awareness of the current crisis in Iraq as well as supporting the millions displaced internally as well as around the world.

The charity:

The New Zealand walk for Iraq movement has chosen to fundraise for the Iraqi orphans foundation.

Iraq has approximately 4.5 million orphans with 500,000 of them living in the streets, with no hope for the future!

"I stopped thinking about my future, and what I would be when I get older." Mustafa Fadhil -An Iraqi orphan.

Any proceeds raised from these auctions will go to help all Iraqi orphans like Mustafa Fadhil, a ten-year-old boy who lives in the streets of Baghdad. Mustafa is desperately poor and faces threat of sever hunger, even starvation.
His and many other orphans lives will be changed for the better a result of your generous donations.

With your support, and the support of other caring sponsors, New Zealand Walk for Iraq will work with the 'Iraqi Orphan Foundation' who organize sponsorship for orphaned children like Mustafa in all religions of Iraq and ethnicities to help feed and educate them and provide them with basic medical care.
