The super low profile design is intended for more aggressive riding. The derailleur will not contact the chain stays, thus it's super quiet. The low profile design carries many benefits. It performs smoothly and silently under all conditions. The low profile design saves the RD from damage in narrow passages. Because of its super low profile and single tension construction, the derailleur does not hit the chain stay in rough riding conditions. The result is smooth and silent performance. A stronger return spring results in a more crisp shifting feeling. Further highlights of the revised Dyna-Sys version are very precise indexfunctions, reduced leverage, smooth and precise shifting performance under all conditions.
