Baron Zander Ander—Purebred quarter-horse Chestnut gelding, born Nov 2007 Palmerston North; About 16 hands. Sale price $7,500 (incl GST). Green-broke by Joseph Lumsden; western trained, going well under saddle, used to sound of whips, farrier work, & ties up and floats well. Ander is unusually quiet, very calm, laid-back, trustworthy, no dirt, & very friendly. More ‘whoa’ than ‘go’. Handsome, good mouth, solid to ride. Could suit any discipline. An outstanding horse.
Ander was raised on his mother until aged over 2, in our herd of 20 horses running in large steep paddocks as foals with sibs & sire & dam, having early, repeated, and extensive experience on steep hills, in pines, crossing both mud and rivers, in paddocks near roads containing pigs, cattle, sheep, deer, goats, chickens, electric tape. He is familiar with farm-bikes and dogs, regularly drenched
NZ; Sire-- Señor Pistolet Baron, pure-bred quarter-horse from QH Señor Baron & QH Bay Ranch Pistolita (from Broomfield King and Timor Freckles), Dam--Kopanuis Jet Setter, pure-bred quarter-horse from Australian-bred Commanders Question and the line of USA-bred Tarzana Man, son of Zan Parr Bar.
One photo of Ander with his mother as a foal; one in round pen with his sire during training.
