This auction is for 190 grams, exactly the same recipe as my other saddle soap auctions but without the dye to colour it.
Includes a cute coloured container,
u can choose ur colour from those shown. .
Ingredients are :
tallow,
anhydrous lanolin,
glycerin.
peppermint essential oil.
lye (sodium hydroxide).
water.
please note postage is once per week.
can combine postage.
I can sell this in larger quanities, but as this is a new recipe i have no idea of its shelf life ....
fridge/ freezzer?
(price will stay the same ,anhydrous lanolin is $116/kg)
20 % super fatted, is... just extra fat/lanolin etc added late in the soap making process , my normal body soaps that i sell are between 1-5% super fatted as I didn't want them to leave a greasy feel ,
This soap after normal washing and drying of hands will leave your skin feeling slightly greasy , but that's exactly how I wanted it ,it will still wash off grease and grime without drying the leather !!!!!
In the "old days" tallow soap was commonly used as saddle soap.
You can use this either wet or dry,
if useing dry like any leather conditioner its takes a lot of elbow grease, but it really does soften leather better than the commercially made products i have here !!!!
Useing it dry will leave the leather at its softest and most plieable.
If useing wet don't wet it too much or you will end up with a lot of foam which defeats the object because the ingredients don't get into the leather properly. I damp my sponge in tepid water, squeeze it out & then wring it out in a towel to dry as much water out of it as possible. Work the saddle soap well into the leather and let it dry. (When you are putting it on the leather it seems quite greasy but this is absorbed as it dries).
