This 6000 size reel is ideal for STRAYLINING, SURF CASTING, and all general fishing situations where a large reel is required.

The size of the reel is 160mm from spool to rear, and 140mm from handle base to opposite spool edge. LARGE ine capacity, to suit rods from 2.1m to 3.5m.

The ULTRA SMOOTH drag and robust internals make this reel ideal for SOFT-BAITING too.

This reel performed EXTREMELY WELL in testing, the drag is SMOOTH and constant, the spool has excellent line capacity and the aluminium forged long cast spool lives up to it's name.

My old Dad gave me some advice on caring for fishing reels over 40 years ago>
1. If you have to lay the reel on the ground, lay it on it's handle so you don't scratch the body.
2. Fill the spool to 2 mm of the spool edge for max casting distance
3. When you get home, always rinse the reel in freshwater to remove the salt.
4. Always take your reel off the rod between trips and wrap it in a soft cloth or bag.

40 years on I still think he's right.
