Action Fishing Nets are of the highest quality and slung/mounted to catch the most amount of fish for a given length. All our set nets are slung at 50% slinging ratio e.g. 2m of mesh for every 1m of completed fishing net.
Most imported nets are made to a price and not quality and are slung at up to 70% slinging ratio e.g. for every 2m of mesh, they make 1.4m of completed net, therefore when comparing prices of fishing nets, keep these factors of quality in mind.
Our 6mm lead core rope weighs 100grams per metre, our 7mm lead core rope weighs 150grams and our 8mm lead core rope weighs 190grams per metre, some nets advertised on Trade Me and various sports shops have as little as 40 x 2oz sinkers on the bottom rope for a 60m net, which equals 40 grams per metre.
