Thread Protector cap rifle barrel 9/16x18 UNF thread

This auction is for one thread protector cap.

The thread is 9/16x18 UNF. The length of the cap is 16mm but we can trim these down smaller if you need it smaller.

Thread protectors are aluminum because if you get sand or foreign matter on your thread then the alu means you won't cause the thread to tear/gall, its knurled with a diamond pattern because when your hands are cold or everything is wet you can get a good grip on it to get it on or off.

If you are an actual hunter you will appreciate the benefits of this style of cap over shiney smooth steel or stainless steel. Remeber the rule of using dissimliar metals to avoid galling.

You have a choice of the outside diameter of this thread cap as measured with verniers: 16.3

You have a choice of black or silver. Please note if you are wanting black, it will take a few days for the anodisers to anodise the cap black. Silver is no problem.

So, if purchasing, please let me know the following:

1. If you need the cap trimmed, to what length.
2. Diameter of the cap you want, generally the same as the barrel diameter. Some people like the cap a little bigger so the knurling stands slightly proud of the barrel
3. Colour, black or silver
