The Line Magnum Opus ski is designed as the pinnacle of Eric Pollard’s Pro Model series. It’s essentially a longer and wider version of the classic Mr Pollard’s Opus to give you even more float in powder snow. It features traditional camber underfoot to give you excellent edge hold on-piste or hard-pack but it with plenty of rocker in the nose and tail for incredible float through powder. The Magnum Opus sit nicely between soft and mid-flex meaning they’re great for absorbing booter landings and throwing down powder butters. Built around Line’s Cloud Core, comprised of blended wood and composite materials which create an impossibly lightweight and solid core. Whilst a full bamboo sidewall construction compliments the superlight core and helps to absorb vibration for a smooth, stable feel. In addition to this the base is sintered meaning you can really push your top speed in powder and on hard-pack. Early Rise reverse camber at the contact points in the nose and tail dramatically reduce the chance of catching your edges on hard pack, give the ski extra lift in powder and help to make butters and presses easier. While the Early Taper shape means the widest points of the sidecut begin and end earlier in the ski. This drastically reduces the occurrence of tip and tail hang-ups on hard pack and in powder. The Magnum Opus are built with Line’s Symmetric flex pattern, this gives the ski a fun and playful feel matter whether you’re skiing regular or switch. Topped off with 5-Cut geometry which has not one, but FIVE, different radii blended into the ski’s overall sidecut. The result is a ski which rides intuitively based on how fast you’re skiing and how much edge you’re using.
