For those in the know, The Line Chronic are synonymous with all-mountain freestyle skiing. The balanced sidecut and twin tip shape mean they’re a great choice for intermediate to advanced skiers who want to charge groomers in the morning and dominate the park in the afternoon. Sitting almost bang on mid-flex they’re the ideal balance of flex and performance. This perfectly complements the all-mountain design of the ski by ensuring they remain playful and forgiving without losing response or power. Built around Line’s Maple Macroblock core, comprised of 2 full length Maple stringers surrounded by Aspen for increased strength and durability. Whilst the hybrid Capwall construction, a laminate cap over the top fused with traditional sidewall underneath, gives the ski loose and playful performance without compromising on precision and edge hold. They also benefit from Line’s Fatty base and edge which are 30% thicker than regular skis for dramatically increased durability. In addition to this the base is sintered meaning you can really push your top speed on hard-pack and hitting kickers. The Chronic feature Thin Tip technology, a tapered construction which sees the ski’s core become thinner as it reaches the nose and tail. This further reduces the swing-weight of the ski for more manoeuvrability and increased pop. Early Rise reverse camber at the contact points in the nose and tail dramatically reduce the chance of catching your edges on hard pack, give the ski extra lift in powder and help to make butters and presses easier. The Chronic are built with Line’s Symmetric flex pattern, this gives the ski a fun and playful feel matter whether you’re skiing regular or switch. All of this is topped off with 5-Cut geometry which has not one, but FIVE, different radii blended into the ski’s overall sidecut. The result is a ski which rides intuitively based on how fast you’re skiing and how much edge you’re using.
