Description
This is a quality art print of Bruce McLaren at the 1966 US Grand Prix in his McLaren M2B, where he finished 5th, his only points in the Ford powered version of the car.
The M2B, Mclaren's first F1 car, was an advanced, lightweight but complex composite chassised car powered by a sleeved down and heavy Ford DOHC Indy engine. Unfortunately the engine did not make as much power as noise and McLaren was unable to take advantage of the excellent chassis. When the Ford engine was replaced early in the season with a Serenissima Sports car sourced V8 there was hope for an improvement which never came. Finally the Ford engine was re-fitted for the final two races in the US and Mexico.
The original of this print is signed by Jan and Amanda McLaren. The print is one of a limited edition of 75 printed on heavy art paper suitable for framing and the low resolution photo does not do the finished print justice.
Each print is individually signed & numbered by myself.
Standard print size is A3 but prints are available on request from A4 to A1 (price on application)
