The fin shown is a 10.5" low aspect ratio spitfire cutaway fin, other templates include D fins, Hatchet fins, pivot fins or any custom shape of your own.

Roy Stewart fins exist primarily in order to improve surfboard performance, they have been tested and proven to do so over a 28 year period.

The elliptical spitfire' fin has the lowest induced drag of any planar fin shape. This means more drive, more power, better control, and greater speed.

" Tried Roy's spitfire fin.

I'll post pics of the board when i can find my camera lead! it was tried today on a 9'6" X23x3, 17.5"nose, 14"tail home made board.

Swell waist high, maybe shoulder high on the sets

Very impressed with this fin, hold the line well and the cut away area is perfect for drop knee turns. it's thicker (don't know the correct speak) than all the other fins I've got. Didn't lose paddle speed (like a turbo tunnel). had plenty of drive to get around sections.
