Camp Quality is a non profit, volunteer organisation providing a support programme for children with cancer. Camp Quality is all about hope for the future Camp Quality is a Charitable Trust established in 1985.We ran our first camp in West Auckland in January 1985 which was attended by 22 children from throughout New Zealand. We are a totally voluntary organisation with no individual receiving remuneration. Thousands of hours each year go into raising funds and organising our programmes. Camp Quality Aims: To allow children who have cancer to be children again, to have fun, to participate in exciting activities with achievable challenges, to make new friends and as far as possible, to be removed from all stress. To give the families of these children a much needed rest and an assurance that we have the finest programme, committed and well trained staff, one on one support from companions, medical care and safety. To build into the life of each child hope for the future, a desire to return to camp and rich memories that will sustain them as they continue their medical treatments. Camp Quality passionately believes in the power of fun to help children and their families overcome the challenges that cancer brings. How you can help: Bid on our auctions: All of the money raised through these auctions will go directly towards running the 5 national camps next year. Become a companion: Companions are the life blood of camp. They are people over the age of 18 who are willing to support a camper for the duration of camp. They should be positive, cheerful, responsible people who like to have fun. Become a volunteer: Volunteers can help in a variety of ways. They help with planning and organising activities on camp, taking photos and video, assisting with catering and other essential tasks. They can also be involved throughout the year with admin tasks and fundraising. Become a friend of Camp Quality: This is a way to further help Camp Quality financially.
