THE CASH CONVERTERS STORY
Cash Converters was first developed in 1984 in Perth, West Australia by Mr Brian Cummins. Currently, Cash Converters is in 21 countries internationally, and there are over 578 outlets worldwide.
In New Zealand the first store opened in late 1993 in the Auckland Region. We have now grown to 14 stores located from Auckland to Christchurch.

And we don't just sell latest-release products; you find that special collector's item too. You can buy with confidence at Cash Converters - most of our items come with our 30 day standard warranty, and we now have an Extended Warranty available for many of our products, and most jewellery comes with an independent valuation.
When you sell your goods to us you can expect friendly professional service in a comfortable atmosphere. Some of our stores also provide a discreet buying service for those large, hard-to-handle products or if you have a large number of products to sell. At Cash Converters you can buy with confidence - our Buyers work hard to ensure items are thoroughly tested before purchase. We also offer a Nationwide 30 day warranty on nearly all goods sold in our stores, and for a Smart Choice we now offer an Extended Warranty on many of our items.
Buying jewellery is hassle-free at Cash Converters. Most of our jewellery comes with an independent valuation so you can be sure you are purchasing exactly what you want - no guesswork. We guarantee it is what we say it is and the valuation means you can be sure you're getting value for money. Our in-store jewellery specialists are happy to discuss your jewellery needs with you and with our great range you are bound to find the special piece you are after.
We firmly believe “the Customer is always right”, and will do our utmost to give the benefit of the doubt where possible and reasonable.

Direct Credit - Once payment has been confirmed via our bank account then the goods will be shipped immediately. If paying via internet banking/direct credit, please use the order number as a reference for us.
In Store – Customers may choose to visit the Cash Converters retail store that is auctioning the goods and pay and pick up the item personally. This is fine. We have Full EFTPOS, CASH & CREDIT CARD facilities in store.
Please advise us if you would like a receipt for GST at the time of purchase.
*Please note that once you have been advised that you have won an auction stores will hold the item for 72 hours. Payment must have been received or arranged within that time or the store reserves the right to offer the item to another bidder.
CASH CONVERTERS WARRANTY
In the unlikely event of a faulty item arriving at your door we give you a full money back guarantee. Please contact the store you purchased the item from, within 2 days and they will assist you.
Cash Converters full 30 day warranty also applies to all items purchased online. If for any reason the warranty does not apply this will be clearly shown on the listing. Should you find a fault with any of our products within our 30 DAY warranty term contact the store and they will assist you with repairs, replacement or refund of goods.
Our warranty policy does not cover you if you change your mind about a product. In this instance, while we have no legal obligation to honour a refund policy we are committed to customer satisfaction. Please talk to the store and we will see if there is anything we can do to assist.
SHIPPING & RETURN
We endeavour to ship your goods at the best possible price, using a combination of NZ Post and courier services. Each auction will contain the details of the shipping method to be used, however if you have an alternate preference please feel free to enquire.
We ship to RD, PO Box, Home or Work addresses. Several items can usually fit into one courier bag so combining auctions will save you money.
Our target is for all products to leave our premises within 2 working days of your deposit clearing in our account.
Cash Converters is all about recycling so we will use recycled packaging material where possible. This lowers the cost to you and is kinder on our planet.
When you have successfully won an auction, the store will contact you and advise the shipping and handling cost. This will be additional to the product price. The price will, of course, depend on the size and weight of the item you are purchasing.
Privacy is very important and we want you to feel secure in your purchase and the trust you place in us with your details. We will never pass on your details to a third party unless we are legally required to do so.
Sell it Buy it LOVE IT
1. Please put the auction number on your deposit (money) or your user name and auction number in an email, we have no way of knowing who has paid for an item, because we may have several traders all with the same deposit amount. So to solve this problem just put the auction number on all messages and payments. Otherwise delays will result as we can’t trace the payment.
2. Please remember technology is not foolproof and delays can occur as a result of problems with ISP’s and others involved in the transfer of information - e-mails are not 100% reliable and occasional mishaps occur. So to solve this problem if you haven’t heard from us within 3 days please make contact with an e-mail or phone call.
3. If calling via phone have your auction / transaction number handy and your user name.
4. Please use your email that you have supplied to Trade Me. Often we wait for a response only to find out you operate two email accounts and did not check the one supplied to Trade Me in your user account.
