Welcome to Home and Family - Te Whare Manaaki Tangata

We provide counseling, education, personal development and support groups, and emergency supported accommodation services. Our aim is to enhance and enrich the lives of individuals and families from all economic and cultural backgrounds. Our programmes are designed to empower and encourage self esteem and to support you to thrive and reach your full potential. If you are looking for support for issues around relationships, dating, family break-up, teens, children, depression, bullying, grief, anger, self esteem, stress, anxiety, and parenting (to name a few) then we can help you.

Home & Family Society, Christchurch Inc is an independent social service agency established in 1908. Originally the Society for the Protection of Women and Children, Home and Family is one of the oldest independent social service agencies in Christchurch. It has always been a grass roots organisation working directly with people on social justice issues, and advocating for social change.

We have a long standing reputation for providing highly professional services which are accessible to those that need it most.

      We are passionate about the work we do and committed to assisting people of all ages to make a positive difference in their lives, the lives of their family and friends, and the wider community.
