About the Store

Welcome to Origin Interiors

Origin Interiors is a family owned business established approximately thirty years ago.

We import a huge selection of furniture, interior décor pieces and giftware from Asia and beyond: Places such as the Philippines, Indonesia, India, China, Vietnam and even Morocco. Because the range is so vast and ever-changing we are unable to list it all on Trade Me. Therefore, if you see something you like in our current listings, but maybe it’s not in the size or colour you want, just ask as there’s every chance we do have it available in stock. We also specialise in made to order furniture and décor items. Just send us the details and we’ll contact the suppliers for a competitive quote.

We import direct, so you save. We’re confident we can give you the best quality for the lowest price, every time. Our buyers are forever searching for exciting new products to add to our range so visit us often. You’ll like what you find and you’ll love the prices!

We now offer lay-by on all our great products. Deposits are from just 20% with flexible payment terms so please inquire. Origin Gift vouchers are also available and can be redeemed at any Origin store.

PRIVACY ACT

Under no circumstances will we pass your details on any third party and all information supplied to Origin will be considered private and confidential.


CUSTOMER SERVICE

All emails, questions & queries will be answered as soon as possible, generally on the day of receipt or the next working day. If you have not received a response within two working days please check your junk box, spam & pop-up filters.

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Payment instructions are automatically sent to all buyers at the time of purchase. We ask that payment be made within 3 working days. To avoid confusion and possible delays please ensure you note the auction number on bank deposits. Please also submit your delivery address via trade me ONLY - do not email this to us. Payment may take a few days to appear in our account so please to allow for this, and keep in mind that payments made after Friday will not appear in our account until the following Tuesday.

Payments for goods to be couriered (or to be sent by carrier) may be made using Pay Now (preferred as goods can be dispatched immediately), Internet Banking, Visa or Mastercard.

PICK-UPS

We welcome pick-ups from our Origin Outlet Store and warehouse at 1 Veronica St, New Lynn. Store hours for pick-ups are Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. Sorry but we’re closed on Sundays & Public Holidays. Please advise us in advance by email or phone when picking up to allow sufficient time to get your items ready for collection, particularly if you intend picking up on a Saturday! To avoid possible confusion, it also helps to bring a printout of the Trade Me listings with you.

Payments may be made when picking up using cash, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard. We do not accept cheques, AMEX or Diners.

COURIER / CARRIER DELIVERIES

We are not able to deliver to PO Boxes so please supply a physical street address for all deliveries. Goods are generally sent the next working day after payment received. Please note shipping times may also vary depending on where you are located. Rural deliveries generally take a day or two longer than standard deliveries. Deliveries require a signature so if you know you will not be at home between 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday to accept the delivery, please have the goods addressed to your place of work, or any other suitable address where a signature may be obtained. Courier fees include packaging. We are happy to combine shipping where possible on request.

In the unlikely event that something goes wrong, please contact us before posting any negative feedback. This gives us the opportunity to right any wrongs. Posting negative feedback does not solve problems - contacting us will!

DISCLAIMER

While every effort is made to ensure that the information on Trade Me listings is kept current and accurate, we do not assume any liability for any inconvenience or loss caused by errors or omissions concerning our products or services. All terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.

WARRANTY

We provide a standard 30 day Return to Base Warranty for defects or malfunction for all listings that do not include any warranty information.

Warranty Conditions:

  1. The Buyer must check the item(s) immediately after purchase / delivery and report any transit damage or faults by email within 24hrs of receipt. Origin reserves the right to refuse courier claims that are made after this time.
  2. Please inspect the goods on arrival prior to signing. In the unlikely event that damage has occurred please notify the courier so a claim can be lodged. Please note that no claim can be honoured for goods that have been signed for.
  3. Contact must be made directly with Origin for approval prior to returning goods under warranty. Invoice and/or auction number will be required as proof of purchase. Photos or other forms of evidence may also be required from the buyer.
  4. Origin will replace or repair where possible and refunds will only be offered where a replacement is not available.
  5. Original courier charges are non-refundable.
  6. Refunds will not be considered after the item has been used, or if the buyer simply changes their mind or if the item is not “what you expected”.
  7. It is the buyer’s responsibility to send any faulty goods back to Origin. We do not accept returns by C.O.D. Origin will pay for the return of the repaired item or replacement back to the buyer, except in the case that the returned item is tested and found to be not faulty, or not in the same condition that the buyer reported. In this case the buyer will be required to pay for return postage costs and the item will be sent back at the buyer's expense.
  8. Warranties are not transferable beyond the original buyer.
  9. Warranty valid in New Zealand only.
