About the Store

The Design Store in Auckland has being around for about 20 years and under new owners from April 2008 . We have three stores in Auckland with one at Wairau park on the North Shore, one in Auckland on Mt Eden Rd at Three Kings and a brand new store at the Apex Centre opposite Sylvia Park On Mt Wellington highway. Our intention is simple. "We make shopping for contemporary modern quality a lot easier and most importantly to you, less expensive" The internet as we are all aware is becoming the key or best way to shop and we understand this is by the internet sales we do now. Let’s face it you probably work at least 10 hour days so getting to the shops isn't easy, and that’s if you work in Auckland! If you don’t live in Auckland, (maybe Bluff or Kaitaia?) it is even more to travel to us or another decent bricks and mortar store so hence our on line presence. While you may not be able to buy a custom made suite on line (this we feel you will want to sit on first!) we are able to offer 20 years experience and can sell popular, well made, items you can just safely click on and buy. These may be iconic designs, or a new TV entertainment unit to hold that new flash plasma or our popular barstools or coffee tables. We have fixed the shopping problem by bringing our shop to you online at truly great prices. A lot of effort has gone into sourcing top quality products from around the world including New Zealand, and for which we are proud to sell, guarantee and put our name on. Our prices are extremely competitive and we only charge freight at our net cost. Have a look around, browse our listings, we are sure you won't be disappointed. Payment Payment should be made with 7 days of auction end with no exceptions. Failure to pay will result in negative feedback. We can do layby but only if asked and arranged before pressing “bidnow”or “buy now” option. Bank deposit:
When you make a deposit please use your auction number as the reference. If there is no reference it will slow down the transaction. This is especially important when making a cash deposit in branch. Please confirm a time with us first for collection. For most items we need 24 hours to get from our logistics/ storage warehouse and delivered to shop(s) ready for collection. Cash/Visa/Mastercard /eftpos can be paid on collection. Shipping We send small items (bar stools and like ) via Couriers, with a tracking system. This is a signature required service. We hate private addresses with no one home during the day as couriers cannot leave delivery. We do prefer a business address to deliver with details including a day time number. So when replying with delivery details please make sure we have a contact daytime phone number. On delivery of goods to you please pass your eyes over the delivery for obvious damage before you sign for it as received in good condition. If damaged carton on outside do not sign for the delivery. Instead ring us before signing or open and check it while carrier there. If damaged return to carrier and advise us. This aids us for any claims. Large items we send either furniture truck or linehaul truck. RD addresses are difficult or a surcharge and often we deliver to the nearest town depot. Please be aware of this and ensure we have your phone number so local freight company can contact. Please check your auction details for the shipping amount to be paid.
