Store Policies


Hours of operation:
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (Call Centre only)
Showroom Hours 8:30am - 10:30am & 4:00pm - 5:00pm Monday to Friday
Weekends and public holidays: Closed

Customer Service:
All Emails, Questions & Queries will be answered as soon as possible and during our hours of operation as motioned above. Due to the high number of emails we receive this may take up to 2 working days. Please remember to include your suburb when requesting a freight quote to avoid delays.

Payment Methods:
Payment Instructions are automatically sent to all winning Bidders within a few minutes of auctions closing. Please ensure that payment is made within 3 working days unless a prior arrangement has been agreed upon. Please make sure to include the auction number on all deposits to avoid confusion. Please note Direct Credit payments can take up to 2 working days to appear on our statements.

Internet Banking / Direct Credit: Full payment details are emailed automatically.
Pay Now: Available via Trade Me for purchases under the value of $1000.
Credit Card Payments: Over the value of $1000 can be arranged Directly via Email or Telephone (phone number & email address is automatically emailed to all winning bidders along with full payment instructions)

Collect and Pay
Cash, Eftpos, Visa & Master Card are accepted on Collection.
Please note we do not accept Cheques, Lay- buys, Amex or Dinners Cards.
Collections can only be made during our operating hours displayed above.

Courier Deliveries:
All courier Deliveries are generally sent out within 1 working day of sighting payment and not prior. Delays can occur during peak times i.e. Christmas Period.
Deliveries will require a signature. We will not send via standard post. If you are unable to be at home during the hours of 8-4pm Mon –Friday to accept delivery then please have your goods sent to your work address.

GST Tax Invoices:
We are GST Registered Company and Invoices are provided for all Sales.

Warranty Period:
  1. If a particular listing does not contain any warranty information then we automatically provide a 30 day return to base Warranty. Please check each listing carefully for the correct warranty type and period.
  2. The buyer must check the item immediately and report any damages or faults to the seller by Email within 48hrs of receiving the item. Trading Place reserves the right to refuse claims that are made after this time frame.
  3. The buyer has the responsibility and expense of sending back the faulty product to Trading place.
  4. We do not accept returns by C.O.D and the return postage must be paid entirely by the Buyer. Contact must be made directly with Trading Place for approval prior to returning.
  5. Trading Place will replace or repair where possible and refunds will only be offered where a replacement is not available.
  6. Warranties are not transferable beyond the original buyer.
  7. All accessories and bonus items are not covered by warranty. E.g. Batteries and carry Bags.
  8. Invoices will be required as proof of purchase.
  9. Warranty valid in New Zealand only.
  10. Trading Place adheres to the consumer Guarantees & Fair Trading Acts along with Trade Me’s Standard Terms and Conditions.

Warranty Does Not Cover:
  1. Normal Wear & Tear.
  2. Misuse, Abuse or Use of a product for which it was not designed.
  3. Neglect & Careless Storage.
  4. Unauthorized Repairs.

Replacement Policy:
  1. The buyer must check the item immediately and report any damages or faults to the seller by Email within 48hrs of receiving the item. Trading Place reserves the right to refuse claims that are made after this time frame.
  2. Photos or other forms of evidence may be requested from the Buyer as proof of damage.
  3. The buyer is liable for the return costs of Faulty/Damaged Products under Warranty.
  4. Trading Place liable for sending the replacement item back to the buyer, expect in the case that the returned item is tested and found not faulty or not in the same condition the buyer reported. In which case, the buyer will be required to pay for the return postage costs and the item will be sent back at the buyer’s expense.
  5. Products must be returned with all accessories including their original packing materials, cartons and boxes.
  6. Trading Place must receive all returns within 14 days from accepted delivery. If an item is returned after the 14 days from accepted delivery, we reserve the right to refuse claims made after this time frame. Item returns to be approved and authorized by the seller before an arranged return is executed.

Refund Policy:
  1. Refunds will only be offered on items that are unusable on arrival, are damaged in transit or are defective and we are unable to repair the item or provide a replacement of equal or greater functionality.
  2. Refunds will not be offered after the item has been used.
  3. Refunds will not be offered if the buyer changes their mind, or if the item is ‘not what you expected’
  4. Original Postage / Courier Charges are non-refundable.

Replacement Policy:
Under no Circumstances will we pass your details on to a third party, and all information supplied to Trading Place is considered private and confidential.
