These charity auctions are to raise funds for Starships National Air Ambulance Service. We are passionate about the well-being of young New Zealanders and have a strong commitment to building better futures for Kiwi youth through the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation and our existing partnership with Parents Inc. Working closely with the Starship Foundation will now enable us to be even more involved in improving young New Zealanders’ lives.” Year-round the Starship National Air Ambulance Service flies top medical experts to life-threatening emergencies around the country. These vary from complications arising from normal childhood illnesses such as the flu to accidents (drowning, car crashes, sporting injuries); as well as children suffering from heart conditions, seizures and meningitis. These specialists stabilise the children and allow them to be brought safely to Starship where they can receive the care they need. Starship Foundation raises $1.5 million annually to fund this service in a variety of ways which includes staff training and aviation costs. How you can help Vodafone has donated a large number of mobile devices for this very special auction. Please review and bid generously as all proceeds will go to the Starship Air Ambulance Service. |
