This bear was donated to us from a large collection of teddies. He was made around 1994 to celebrate Mark Todd's success in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and he wears Mark Todd's actual tie from those games. This is verified by a certificate from the makers and signed by Mark Todd. This is not a toy so is not suitable for children.

He is a limited edition Edwardian Bear (with original tags) in full equestrian costume - pants, shirt, tie, hat and jacket with NZ and Olympic rings signia. There is a signed picture of Mark Todd with his horse Charisma from the '88 games on the jacket and also a map of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Equestrian course in his pocket.

And thanks to his recent Olympic success in London this year, we were able to get an up to date photo of Mark with our bear - wearing his London 2012 bronze medal! And we have a current autograph on a 2012 team postcard.

Bear is a little dusty and his uniform could do with a bit of a clean up but this would make a great collectors item for any horse or equestrian enthusiast.
