You are bidding on a Franklin Mint 1956 Chevrolet Corvette in 1/24th scale in absolutely Mint condition.

It is the classic American icon.

It is absolutely mint with all original packaging, documentation and hang tag.

It is a really great model.

As usual for Franklin Mint this is an exceptionally nice model, the finish quality is truly outstanding and the detail really nice.

The detail is really awesome. The exterior and interior detail and the detail and finish of the whole vehicle is great.

The steering works and the doors open and there is a realistic removable replica of the convertible top.

The bonnet opens as usual for the Mint to reveal an intricately detailed engine compartment.

Though overshadowed by the fuel-injected '57 and '58 'Vettes, the 1956 Corvette marked the introduction of a new body style. This revamping went a long way to revive flagging Corvette sales from 1955, when Ford's Thunderbird stole the day, outselling Corvette 23 to 1.
This die cast model of the 1956 Corvette from the Franklin Mint is up to the usual standard for their Corvette line. Since it was produced later than the FM '57 model the refinement of a removable hardtop marks it as a newer vintage. This single feature alone goes a long way toward giving the model a sharper "look". Painted in a popular '50s turquoise, the model looks crisp and cleanly delineated. The hardtop and gleaming paint make it a standout alongside the other 'Vettes in the collection.
