This is a pack of four massively powerful, neodymium "rare-earth" magnets.

We have had this size/shape purpose-made specifically for replacing the magnets in certain model electric loco motors, such as Hornby Dublo 3-track. (I am told that these words are also associated with models: Triang X03 X04.)For a Bo-Bo loco, use one of our D8x8 mm magnets, + steel spacing washers.

The original magnets in these locos were "ferrite", which meant that they were very weak to start with, and grew weaker still over time, eventually making the loco unusable. They were sometimes re-magnetised, but this was never really successful.

Neodymium magnets are the perfect solution. They don't weaken over time, and are TEN times stronger than the original. The direct pull to each other is over 6 kg! So they make a loco run fantastically; far better than brand new!

With suitable spacers, they can be used with other models of loco.

Replacement is simple, by removing a few screws.

Details:
- Rectangular block shape, 1/2" x 3/8" x 21/40", i.e. 12.7 mm x 9.53 x 13.34 mm.
- A 2.4 mm diameter mounting hole is drilled from the north pole to the south pole( i.e. through the smallest faces).
- Magnet Grade: N45
