Check wood prices, might not be any cheaper to DIY.
No tools needed for panel assembly, very easy to put together with simple instructions, ply panels simply slot together.
Child friendly; corners and edges all rounded off.
Outside size is 2.4m x 1.8m and 30cm (1 foot) high.
Inside Size is 2.15m x 1.55m.
Plywood (engineered wood) is much stronger than solid wood.
Linseed oil stain helps seal both sides of panels. Non Toxic
Made from 21mm plywood, A bonded (Same glue as marine ply) and treated (tanalised) for outdoor use. Panels guaranteed to out-last their use.
Weedmat supplied stops sand seepage, even on a deck
Ground does not have to be absolutely flat as the corners can take a bit of flex
Cover has 10 bungee loops with chrome hooks and stainless steel screws. Covers don't last many years in the NZ sun, but cheap to replace $25 incl post (email address on sandpit)
AUCTION includes Linseed oil-stained Sandpit, Blue cover with bungee loops, hooks and screws, Weedmat and instructions
CAN also make (same size) with 4 SEATS that has a heavy duty GREEN cover: $234 plus freight. Looks good even in the best landscaped setting. last photo
Sandpit is suitable for up to 4 children plus toys.
Takes approx 0.75 cubic m sand from landscape supplies.
