A vintage Pelham stringed puppet, or marionette. This is one of the early ones from late 1940s/early 1950s, with the early moulded lead (heavy) hands. A girl in costume.

She is about 32cm tall, has a wooden ball painted head, metal strip hip, knee and ankle joints, lead hands, wooden feet, legs and arms and other bits. Nice felt hat with felt flower trim, and blond mohair wig.

Condition: She’s in used condition, but still structurally good. Her costume has some fading and a little marking. She has her wooden controller but her long strings are not attached, and are a bit tangled. All joints are OK.
