This old steam shovel was purchased off a gentlemen in Florida about 10 years ago. He was in his late 90s and this was his childhood toy so it is pretty old if you do the maths.
It was made by the Keystone Manufacturing Co Boston Massachussetts USA.
This is a very rare toy to have in NZ and they are very hard to find in this condition still with decals.There is a fire box at the back which was made for burning wood shavings for smoke just like the real ones. This one hasnt been used. It is a ride on model and has an extendable boom inside the dipper arm. There are two small braces missing from the front but they are very easy to make. This is a very heavy and well made toy from the 30s and will be packaged well for travel.
