It repeats this action 3 times before needing rewind-although sometimes it does a complete backward flip before continuing its attempted take-off. I guess the erratic take-off attempts give the plane its name. Made in China,probably a copy of 1950s-60s Japanese toy. Antique collectible of the future? Present age not known but I suspect I bought it in the 1990s
