The Mt Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal Reduced price for departures in Sept & Oct 2012 only
Some trips are for men and women.
We start our trip in Kathmandu (Nepal), sightseeing to some of the historical sites, finishing the day with a traditional dinner and local dancing.
We then fly to Lukla and start our trek up to Everest Base Camp, visiting schools and a hospital that Sir Edmund Hilary built, monasteries (including the famous Tengboche Monastery), Italian research station & Namache Market.
We trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) at 5,364m and ascent to Kala Pattar at 5,550m (which over looks base camp and the Khumbu ice-fall) is an awe-inspiring, emotional journey for many. The view is just MAGIC!!!!
Extra acclimatisation days have been built into the itinerary to give everyone the opportunity to visit both Everest Base Camp & Kala Pattar.
The Everest region is famous not only for its home to the world’s highest mountain (8,848 m) but also for its Sherpa Villages, colourful Tibetan prayer flags, Mani walls & temples.
This journey to Everest Base Camp gives you a real sense of achievement & many trekkers find the walk to Everest can be better then the destination itself.
This trip, includes return domestic flights Kathmandu to Lukla, Guide and porters who carry your main pack, teahouse accommodation while trekking & hotel accommodation as indicated in itinerary.
