LAOS Biking Holiday

- Closed: Mon 6 Aug 2012, 9:32 am
- Listing #: 498793077
‘Leum Phu Khao’ Forgotten Mountains.
Join us for 13 days biking in stunning rolling landscapes and meet the most chilled people on earth.
Often overshadowed by it’s neighbours Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia - Laos quietly goes about its business. With a population of only 6 million of the most chilled out people we have ever come across, the heavily forested and mountainous Laos quite possibly has Southeast Asia's most pristine environment. Immerse yourself in the culture and enchanting history of this tropical, hospitable and seldom travelled region.
We begin our biking adventure in the world heritage town of Luang Prabang. We kick back into the local pace of life, but only for a moment... as soon as we leave Luang Prabang the nature of Laos terrain becomes apparent! A pair of hill climbing legs are necessary for exploring the very rural northern Laos. Looping through both remote hill tribal areas and lowland regions we visit the mysterious Plain of Jars at Phonsavanh which was also a central point during the Laotian Civil War. Try elephant riding and take a boat trip on the Nam Ou river as we return to Luang Prabang.
Quiet roads, friendly people, tasty food, spectacular scenery and challenging riding combine to make this an awesome biking adventure.
