The Marlborough Sounds at the northern most tip of the South Island is one of the most remote but accessible wilderness native bush areas of New Zealand.

Marlborough Sounds is a accumulation of sounds, bays and coves that are rich in wild life, Salmon and Mussel farms. While some areas are accessible by road the majority of the Marlborough Sounds Wilderness Area is only reached by boat.

Cruising & trekking the Marlborough Sounds is one of those trips that not only gives spectacular scenery but gives you the opportunity to participate in all the scheduled activities or you so desire you can just relax on board cruising from one bay to the next.

We will walk the “Nydia Track” seeing Giant Rimu and Nikau Palms, maybe some Tuis, Kiwis, Bellbirds and the rare South Island Saddleback.

This trip is a very diverse combination of relaxation on board having evening sunset nibbles and, visiting Kayaking in Kenepuru Sound, visiting Salmon & Mussel farms, walking up to a lighthouse, D’uuville Island and going ashore to the Wilderness Resort Café for dinner.

There will be the opportunity to cruise through the French pass on the way to the area of the sinking of the Russian Ship “Mikhail Lermontov” and even do some fishing if you so desire.
On arrival in the Queen Charlotte Sound we will visit “Motuara Bird Island Sanctuary” and walk three different sections of the “Queen Charlotte Walkway” taking in a waterfall at “Ships Cove ( Captain James Cooks home in the 1700’s).
Our Motto is "to enrich lives & encourage personal growth."
